Are the roads too crowded for your everyday work?

In urban commercial traffic - i.e. everyday traffic for trade, commerce, industry or service providers - short journeys, often in connection with the search for a parking space, could be avoided. E-cargo bikes and trailers for commercial use can be a city-friendly and environmentally friendly alternative. They are also often less stressful, especially in an urban context.

The city of Aachen is supporting the commercial use of cargo bikes with the "flottes Gewerbe" project. While the use of cargo bikes for private purposes is already established, commercial cargo bikes and their possible uses are less well known. Yet there is a wide range of commercial cargo bike models for a wide variety of applications.

Whether carpentry, window cleaning, mobile care services, gardening or the transportation of Euro pallets - cargo bikes have the potential to replace numerous commercial car or van journeys.

However, it is currently difficult for businesses and companies to test different cargo bikes without obligation, to find the right cargo bike for their own requirements and also to obtain quickly available and reliable service and maintenance offers for the vehicles.

This is where the "flottes Gewerbe" project comes in: As part of the project, selected, interested businesses, tradespeople or companies - the so-called test pioneer companies - receive sound advice and are provided with a cargo bike that meets their individual requirements free of charge for a test period of 5 weeks . Because nothing is more convincing than a successful trial!



Interested companies and businesses can apply now using this form.

The application deadline is Monday, 01.04.2024.

The number of places for this test phase is limited. Applicants who do not get a place will be reserved for later test phases and contacted again in the medium term.



The test phase begins on May 28with a kick-off event in Aachen.
