SEMPER ACCELERANS - ALWAYS ON THE MOVE

Under this motto, around 30 students at RWTH Aachen University are researching and developing a new high-speed transport system. In the process, budding engineers from various disciplines are coming together to contribute progress to this groundbreaking technology.

The Hyperloop is basically a magnetically levitated gondola (also called a pod) that floats in an almost completely vacuum tube. Because of the reduced friction, speeds of over 1000 km/h can be achieved. For example, a route from Aachen to Munich would be possible in just 30 minutes. TheHyperloop could thus be the means of transportation of the future and even compete with the airplane.

Researching innovative, forward-looking projects that contribute to meeting the 1.5° target? - We can do that in Aachen too!!!

With our projects, we want to contribute to the urban development and transport infrastructure of Aachen in the long term. Our biggest goal - to travel to Aachen once with the Hyperloop!

The Hyperloop concept is still relatively unexplored, so at the moment we are still building prototypes on a smaller scale. At the same time, we have several, smaller projects that serve to research and further develop hyperloop technology. First, we are in the middle of developing the 2nd version of our prototype, where we will participate in an international competition next year as part of the European Hyperloop Week. Hyperloop teams from all over the world will compete in different categories. Another project is the construction of the longest Hyperloop test track in Europe in Aachen. Last but not least we have a small project to research the levitation behavior.
