aNna - Not alone at night either

The aNna project systematically identifies gaps in outpatient care at night for people receiving care at home and seeks innovative approaches to counteract them. There is currently a lack of support services for people in need of care and their family caregivers in the evening and after hours. The gap in care leads to or exacerbates situations of overload and stress for family caregivers. Currently, the only possible solution is to provide care in a fully inpatient care facility, which does not meet the wishes and needs of those in need of care and is contrary to the "outpatient before inpatient" strategy. The aim of the aNna project is to further develop the support system of the care infrastructure in the evening and night hours and thereby improve the quality of life of older people and family carers. To this end, international research is being carried out into new forms of provision and a differentiated survey of the needs and requirements of those in need of care and their family carers.
